QLD Government Advancing Clean Energy Schools Program

We are currently in the final stages of works on the $168.1 million Advancing Clean Energy Schools program on behalf of the Queensland Government due for completion by 30 June 2022. Having installed approximately 22.5MW across almost 300 schools over the past 3 years, our team has significant experience in complex live environments across large geographic regions.

The Advancing Clean Energy Schools (ACES) program is designed to reduce energy costs across more than 800 state schools through the installation of solar installations and energy efficiency measures.

As one of the Queensland Government’s largest energy consumers, state schools spend more than $70 million each year on energy. Meridian Solar (now Solar Set) assisted the ACES program to reduce energy costs across state schools through the installation of one of Queensland’s largest solar rollouts making a significant contribution to the Palaszczuk Government’s target of 50 per cent renewable energy by 2030.

Once the program is completed, it’s expected to deliver a reduction in state school energy costs of up to 20 per cent.
